"CSX - ALONG THE CLINCH RIVER"

In this program the R-line Video camera captures the action along CSX's ex Clinchfield route between Dante, Va and Frisco, Tn.
This is the Kingsport Subdivision of CSX Transportation. Tapping the rich coalfields of western Virginia and Eastern Kentucky
is why this railroad was built in 1905. This purpose has not changed today.

The route roughly follows the valley of the Clinch River to keep the grades at a minimum for the giant coal trains that
traverse this important route.

St. Paul, Virginia is one of the many locations that is featured. Here the CSX and Norfolk Southern Clinch Valley Line
intersect at a very interesting junction. The spectacular railroad landmark Copper Creek Viaduct is visited.
The program concludes its journey at Frisco, TN, another fascinating CSX-NS junction where the competing companies route
trackage rights trains over each others lines.

Great scenery with autumn colors and heavy duty Clinchfield coal train railroading is a combination I'm sure you'll enjoy!
